More Vault Work...Pistons

For the past two weeks I have been working on figuring out the piston section of the bank vault. There are 24 pistons which have a toothed bar at the tapered end.  This toothed bar connects to a series of gears, which are turned by the door opening mechanism.  When the door turns, the giant gear turns, turning the small gears, pulling the pistons in and thus unlocking the door.  Needless to say it has been incredibly slow to make sure that everything is absolutely perfect.

Sections will be lined with masonite so that it appears solid.

Foam ends of each piston.  These will be sanded to a taper.

Tapered piston rods.  These were cut with a hot wire and just need to be sanded.
